The Workers’ Rights Legal Clinic has reopened online. In March, the Workers’ Rights Legal Clinic, a joint project of the Southern Maine Workers’ Center and the Volunteer Lawyers Project, was suspended due to the coronavirus. We are pleased to announce that the clinic has reopened as a virtual resource. The clinic provides free access to an employment lawyer who can provide legal advice to workers experiencing wage theft, discrimination, workplace injury, and other work-related legal issues. To see an attorney at the Workers’ Right Clinic, call (207) 888-1010 and leave a message. A volunteer from the Worker Support Hotline will call you back to conduct and intake and schedule an appointment with an attorney. Clinic appointments are scheduled on Thursday nights from 5-7pm. In December the clinic will be held on December 3rd and 17th. In January, the Clinic will be held each Thursday.
