On March 28, Senator Angus King visited the Bongibo Kai Judo club in Westbrook to wish the team good luck at their upcoming championship competition in Massachusetts.
While at the club Senator King congratulated Papy Bongibo on his work with children, which involves teaching them respect and life skills through judo.

In addition to being a black belt in judo, Bongibo is president of CocoMaine, the community association for Congolese people in Maine.
