Clients will access services at 39 Forest Ave beginning Friday, October 29
The City of Portland is reminding the public that its Social Services division and General Assistance program located at Lancaster Street is moving to 39 Forest Avenue on Thursday, October 28. City staff will begin serving clients out of the new location at 39 Forest Avenue starting Friday, October 29.
The move provides the opportunity to co-locate the majority of the City’s Health and Human Services (HHS) programs into one central location. The new facility will house the City’s Social Services division, Public Health division, and HHS administration. The centralization of HHS will reduce barriers to those who access vital services as well as enhance organizational efficiency.
