New cases of COVID-19 continue to rise in Maine. This could be because of new variants present in the state, and because some Mainers have relaxed the safety measures they had been taking earlier in the pandemic.
The Maine Center for Disease Control (CDC) urges Mainers to remain cautious, continue wearing masks, washing hands, and socially distancing.
Dr. Shah, Director of the Maine CDC, also urges Mainers to trust the vaccines, and get themselves immunized as quickly as possible.
