Local food economy

May 27 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 4 PM – 5:30 PM

Online Focus Group: “STEPPING UP TO THE PLATE – Part 2
Why We Need to Invest in Our Local Food Economy”

Special guests: Marada Cook from Crown O’Maine Distribution Company and Amber Lambke from Maine Grains

We’ll miss being together in person but you can participate from anywhere, and there’s plenty of “room” at our venue, so invite others to join us as well! The time is NOW. Become a changemaker in our local food system.

On May 27th, we will virtually draw together a diverse group of people to discuss the importance of place-based investing, specifically in our local food economy. Part 1 of this focus group was last November in Gardiner. Now we will continue the conversation. All are welcome – whether you are currently involved in an investment project through our network or just curious about the work we do and hoping to add yourself in, please join us. Together we can make a great impact and this conversation will work through some of the reasons why individuals and institutions may or may not choose to invest in this sector.
