The Augusta Armory is the site of a new drop-in COVID-19 vaccination clinic. The clinic will operate through at least the end of 2021, offering free first, second, booster, and pediatric doses of the vaccine.

The Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson and Johnson vaccines will all be available.

The clinic will initially be open:

  • Noon to 7 p.m., Thursday, December 9, and
  • 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, December 11.

Hours and dates of operation may vary from week to week, but vaccinations will be available at least three days per week through the end of the year. The updated schedule can be found at: https://www.maine.gov/covid19/vaccines/vaccination-sites.

“Getting vaccinated and taking commonsense steps, like wearing a mask when indoors in public places, can help keep you safe and healthy this holiday season,” said Governor Janet Mills.

Maine has the third highest rate of fully vaccinated residents, with nearly 73 percent of Maine people fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the U.S. CDC. Maine also ranks third among states for the percentage of residents aged 65 and older who are fully vaccinated, at 96.9 percent.

All vaccinations are on a walk-in basis. More information is available at www.maine.gov/covid19/vaccines/vaccination-sites.

The clinic is a joint mission among the Maine CDC, Maine Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) and Maine National Guard.
