The City of Portland is launching the second round of free PPE Give-A-Way to Portland businesses

In an effort to aid the small business community, the City of Portland is offering a second round of free personal protective equipment (PPE) supplies to small Portland businesses (30 or fewer employees) that physically interact with the public on a daily basis. The equipment will include disposable masks, hand sanitizer, and surface disinfectant, all of which is crucial for maintaining safe business operations.

Businesses interested in picking up some free supplies should fill out this Google form at https://forms.gle/Ar2XrVzKSjEBin6TA and select the best date and time for them to pick up the PPE. Pick up is at Ocean Gateway on either Wednesday, January 13, 2021, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, or Thursday, January 14, 2021, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

For as long as they last, the PPE available to each business will include up to:

  • Four boxes of disposable masks (50 masks/box);

  • One hands-free dispenser for hand sanitizer (requires 4 C batteries) and one gallon of hand sanitizer gel for filling and refilling the dispenser, or 4 individual bottles of hand sanitizer; and,

  • Three quarts of high quality surface disinfectant.

These supplies have been made available by funding the City received from the Keep Maine Healthy grant program.
