According to Radio Station WGME, three families of asylum seekers from the Expo Center in Portland moved to Brunswick today, with another ten people expected to join them next week. They are living in the Brunswick Landing area, with their rent covered for the next three months by Brunswick Landing Ventures. Volunteers have stepped in to help the families get established. The three families are originally from Angola and the Democratic Republic of Congo. They traveled to the United States through Brazil and Central America. They are tired out from the long, arduous journey.
